calmness
cumulus gathers
my lover's vessel
comes calmly in

note for readers: I am not a photographer, which is why I'm grateful to those like phill who send me pictures from time to time and allow me to publish them here or modify them to create haiga. I'll be pleased to hear from other photographers who might supply me with photographs I could use.

The sea is calm before the storm !
Soothing and still.
What a relaxing haiku and view. Thanks for sharing I enjoyed the moment.
I like the fact that you use cumulus instead of just clouds. Lovely photo too.
Sounds exciting!
Such anticipation in your haiku. The words are perfect.
I would be honored to send you some pictures if you have a need.
There could b a whole story behind this!
Just lovely!
Such a beautiful statement of patient longing. It makes me think of Widow's Walks, turrets built into sea captains' homes on the water's edge so their wives could watch them come home from on high.
I love that. Thank you.
It's a fabulous poem - with a sense of anticipation and relief!
Your lover comes in quietly but surely he brings a storm of emotions when he does.
I enjoyed the images created by this haiku.
Great. I really like the cloud gathering, as if somehow the sky is choosing to take note of human actions beneath it. A strong sense of mood in your writing.
Beautiful post & the poem!
Your haiga evokes feelings a relief for the safe return of a loved one.
