Words and imagery collaborate well. Hope and anticipation are so often deemed states of unhappiness, wanting anything but now. Fishing is an excellant example of wanting the next thing to happen but having a fantastic time regardless. Thank you for your comment on my blog. I usually do write haiku in lower case. I write my blog in caps...perhaps a nod to overbearing, will revisit, but the haiku should be subtle and lower case. Thanks! Jodi wildvines.blogspot.com
Thank you for stopping by blog and commenting. As for your question as to why there are shoes hanging from street poles or wires - I am not a 100% sure, but I have heard that it is a sign used by gangs to mark their territory.
I have fished a time or two and you've captured it well. The photo looks like a place I visited in Southern California this past July. Probably not, but it sure looks familiar.

Love the photo and the poem. Looks like rough waters to fish in.

I come from a big fishing family and this really tickled me! Cool.
I really like this!
Nos derniers sages, les pêcheurs à la ligne.
Anglers, our last sages.

The photo and words go together so well and present such a clear image. Well done.
This photo is very nice and so relaxing! The words added in background give a cartoon effect too. Love it.

Pleasure, anticipation and hope are beautiful words that touch the spirit. And the photo is really nice, too -- I can hear the waves!
:)
Anticipation and hope are the best pleasures.
Yes, anticipation and hope, as you say. And as your picture indicates, companionship as well. Lovely.
