And the sharp splinters can be many things that pierce us; tongue or deed.

How powerful this is. They tell us to grow thick skins to this, yet how? I hope that the future brings love and support instead of splinters.

Yes, we can bleed in many different ways. For some reason, I immediately thought of how sharp and pointed thoughtfuless words can be, words we can regret.

I really like that the sounds of the words you chose feel like splinters in the skin. Nice haiku

it is a perfect portrayal of how painful a splinter of any sort can be..

Everyone got here before me and said nearly my same thoughts! Although the picture and words said wood, I perceived the pain of verbal or emotional splinters.

Well done.

Old structures bleed by splintering, one splinter at a time. Piercing, painful, perplexing.
Thanks

from your gifted wounds the hurt drips on..(a corollary ma'm to ur own haiku)which i like for it's depth and delicateness..

Wonderfully imagined, created, and shared! Thank you. It took me a while but I managed to come up with an idea and posted this morning at Sacred Ruminations.
Hugs and blessings,

It's not only the skin that bleeds but gets the infections!
