There is something strangely alluring about that train whistle. I like the twist you've gone with here.

I have always loved trains and so your use of them as representation for melody is lovely.

ps: According to the American Heritage Dictionary a choice of plural form using either haiku or haikus is given. My choice was to add the 's'.

I love listening to train whistles, although to me they always seem to sing a mournful song. Lovely pairing of photo and words!

I wouldn't have thought of this, but I love it. Good photo, too.

I love both the photo and the poem. Train whistles do have their own music/poetry.

Delightful. I can just see it in my memory. (I've done a couple cross country train rides ....)

Ah, the melody of the train whistle. I find myself listening for the trains passing again. Thank you.

There are a lot of different kinds of music. I like train whistles too(in the distance).
Thank You for the poem.

A good take on the prompt. And a very dramatic picture (especially because the heat outside is so fierce, seeing snow is impressive).

...a train is a melody in so many ways...that steam and whistle is a great image...even the clacking and grinding...the echo off nearby hills...the jump-out-of-your-skin start when you are standing too close to a blastig horn...I'm on board.

Reminds me of a sleepless night I spent in Flagstaff last summer on the way to Taos, NM ;--)
