The theme this week at One Deep Breath is one-line haiku.
One of the major exponents of the one-line haiku is Marlene Mountain whose work has been featured here previously.
Marlene Mountain has been writing one-line haiku since the late 1960s and exclusively since the early 1980s. There is lots to be seen on her extensive website at http://www.marlenemountain.org/.

This is wonderful, I love the 'soon' at the end,
I like the sense of the future that your haiku brings.
The haiku was wonderful but I also liked the way you matched the colors of the text and the picture!

pearl exponent and proponent are fairly synonymous; if there is a difference it is probably that an exponent actively practices something while the proponet promotes and encourages others to do likewise.
I think Marlene is more an exponent than a proponent.
For some reason, I found this exercise to be very challenging. I think you did a wonderful job pairing up your haiku with that lovely photo. I see and read hope and anticipation.

ps. I agree with you that Marlene is an exponent. But because exponent can also mean a symbol of raising a number to a higher power ie: 8 to the tenth power, it can cause a moments confusion. ;-)

Theres something mysterious about this. As if there is a link between the flowers and the wind. I keep thinking of the poppy field scene in 'The Wizard of Oz'.
This is beautiful, and I agree with Jem, it does have a mysterious, portentious feel.
