this is a great page. I am going to link you up being as this page is just you. I agree with the 5th grade teacher definition of Haiku which is also agreed with on whatever dictionary the person who maintains the Monday Haiku page has in the description. I insist on following those rules or calling it free-verse. I don't expect anyone else too, just rules for myself. Yours is beautiful, esp with the picture to go with it. I like seeing all my friends on your sidebar of links. We have about 50% in common

A good observation both for those in boats and metaphorically for all of us.
Very clever observation, and perfect photo to go with :)
Beautiful words.
Very interesting take, it makes one think...
"sand that does not sink" where would any of be if we didn't have that? Like air, water and sunlight. A really great haiku.
Thanks for stopping by!
I love your prose.

Very Cool (pardon the bland adjectival modifiers).
Very beautiful. Your blog reminds me of my friend Polona's blog. Very nice indeed.
This is a really good poem, Mandy. It fits so many subjects.
Great blog, poems and photos and all. Fun too. Thank you.
